How to Delete, Undo or Hide Reposts on TikTok
To delete a repost on TikTok, open the video, tap the Share arrow and choose Remove repost.

To delete a repost on TikTok, open the video, tap the Share arrow and choose Remove repost. The fastest way to find your reposts is the Reposts tab on your profile, marked with a two-arrows icon. TikTok has no button to delete all reposts at once, and no setting that hides the Reposts tab on a public account; making your account private is the only way to limit who sees them.
This guide covers removing one repost, clearing many, undoing an accidental repost and limiting who sees them. How reposting works is covered in how to repost on TikTok. Saving videos to your device is covered in how to download TikTok videos.
How Do You Remove a Repost on TikTok?
You remove a repost from the video’s Share menu. Listed below are the 4 steps.
- Go to your Profile and open the Reposts tab, the two-arrows icon.
- Open the video you want to remove.
- Tap the Share arrow.
- Tap Remove repost.
The video disappears from your Reposts tab and from your followers’ feeds where it hasn’t been seen yet.
How Do You Undo an Accidental Repost?
Undo an accidental repost straight away by tapping Share on the same video and choosing Remove repost. Some versions also show an undo option for a few seconds after you repost. Followers who already saw it in their feed may have seen your name on it, but it won’t stay on your profile.
How Do You Delete All Reposts on TikTok?
TikTok has no bulk delete for reposts, so remove them one at a time from the Reposts tab. Open each video, tap Share and Remove repost, then go back to the tab for the next one. Apps that promise to clear all reposts at once need your TikTok login and put the account at risk.
Can You Hide Your Reposts on TikTok?
No setting hides the Reposts tab while your account is public; switching to a private account limits your reposts to approved followers. The table shows who sees your reposts in each case.
| Account | Who sees your reposts |
|---|---|
| Public | Your followers in their feeds, and anyone who opens your Reposts tab |
| Private | Only followers you’ve approved |
To go private: Settings and privacy, then Privacy, then turn on Private account. Other profile privacy settings are covered in how to hide your followers and following list on TikTok.
How Do You Stop Reposting by Accident?
Most accidental reposts come from the repost shortcut, so slow down around the Share menu and the like button. In some app versions, pressing and holding the like button triggers a repost, which is easy to do while scrolling. Tap like once instead of holding it.
Does Removing a Repost Notify Anyone?
No, removing a repost doesn’t notify the creator or your followers. It simply stops showing on your profile.
