TikTok shows who viewed your profile in the last 30 days, but only if you’ve switched the feature on and only for viewers who switched it on too. In current versions of the app the setting is called Viewer history, under Settings and privacy, then Viewers; older versions call it Profile view history, under Privacy, then Profile views. It’s off by default.

The feature is mutual: turning it on lets you see visitors, and lets them see you. This guide covers turning it on and off, who can and can’t appear, and what happens to video views. Searching for people instead is covered in how to search on TikTok.

Can You See Who Viewed Your TikTok Profile?

Yes, TikTok lists accounts that viewed your profile in the past 30 days, as long as both you and they have profile view history turned on. TikTok confirmed the feature rolled out globally, limited to users aged 16 or older with fewer than 5,000 followers (TechCrunch). Anyone who has it off can visit your profile without appearing.

Your followers Fewer than 5,000

How Do You Turn On Profile Views on TikTok?

You turn on profile views from your settings or from the viewers icon on your profile. Listed below are the 5 steps in current app versions.

  1. Tap Profile at the bottom of the app.
  2. Tap the menu (three lines) at the top right.
  3. Tap Settings and privacy.
  4. Open Viewers. In older versions, open Privacy, then Profile views.
  5. Switch on Viewer history (or Profile view history).

Once it’s on, tap the eye icon on your profile to see the list of visitors.

How Do You Turn Off Profile Views on TikTok?

To turn off profile views, follow the same path and switch Viewer history (or Profile view history) off. You can also reach the switch from the profile views page itself, through the gear icon, or from a “viewed your profile” notification in your Inbox (TechCrunch).

What Happens When You Turn Off Profile Views?

With profile views off, your visits don’t appear in other people’s lists, and you can no longer see who visited you. It works both ways, which is the trade-off: there’s no setting that shows your visitors while hiding you from theirs. A visit you made while the setting was on can still show for the rest of its 30 days, so switch it off before browsing if staying unseen matters.

Can You See Who Viewed Your TikTok Video?

Only partly: TikTok’s post view history shows which followers viewed your post, within 7 days of posting, and only followers who also have the setting on. Everyone else is counted in the view number without a name. In current app versions, post views are covered by the same Viewer history switch. Video performance in general, including total views and watch time, is in how to see TikTok analytics.

What you want to know Can TikTok show it?
Who visited your profile Yes, if both sides have the setting on, for 30 days
Which followers watched a post Yes, if both sides have the setting on, for 7 days after posting
Who watched a post, non-followers No, only the total count
Who viewed your Story Yes, Stories have their own viewer list
Who saved or shared your post No, only totals

Why Can’t You See Profile Views on TikTok?

Profile views don’t appear when you’re under 16, you have 5,000 or more followers, your setting is off, or your visitors have theirs off. An app update can also move the setting, from Privacy to the newer Viewers section, so update TikTok and look in both places.

Do Third-Party Apps Show Who Viewed Your TikTok?

No, apps that promise to reveal all your TikTok profile viewers can’t deliver it, because TikTok doesn’t publish viewer lists outside its own feature. Public TikTok data, the kind any tool can read, includes follower counts, likes and videos, but never who looked at a profile. Giving such apps your login puts your account at risk for nothing.

Other Profile Privacy Settings

Profile views are one of several settings that control what others see about you. Listed below are the related guides.

What Can Public Profile Data Show?

Public profile data shows what a profile has, not who visited it: follower and following counts, video count, bio, verification and every public video with its views. apidojo’s TikTok Profile Scraper on Apify collects exactly that for any public account with at least 10 posts, at $0.30 per 1,000 posts, which is how brands compare creators without guessing (Apify). The developer guide is how to scrape TikTok profiles and their videos.
