# Can You Pin Someone Else's Tweet?

No, X lets you pin only your own posts to your profile, not someone else's tweet or a repost.

**No, X lets you pin only your own posts to your profile, not someone else’s tweet or a repost.** The workaround is to quote the other person’s post, which creates a post of your own with theirs embedded inside it, and then pin your quote.

## How Do You Pin Someone Else’s Tweet With a Quote?

**You feature someone else’s tweet on your profile by quote posting it and pinning the quote.** Listed below are the 5 steps.

1.  **Tap** the **Repost** icon under their post and choose **Quote**.
2.  **Write** a short comment, such as why you’re featuring it, and post it.
3.  **Go** to your profile and find your quote post.
4.  **Tap** the three-dot menu on it.
5.  **Choose** **Pin to your profile** and confirm.

## How Do You Pin Your Own Tweet?

**To pin your own tweet, open it on your profile, select the three-dot menu and choose Pin to your profile.** Only one post can be pinned at a time, so pinning a new one replaces the old one. To remove it, open the same menu and choose **Unpin from profile**.
