# How to Search Someone's Tweets by Date

To search someone's tweets by date on X, type from:username since:YYYY-MM-DD until:YYYY-MM-DD into the search bar and open the Latest tab.

**To search someone’s tweets by date on X, type `from:username since:YYYY-MM-DD until:YYYY-MM-DD` into the search bar and open the Latest tab.** For example, `from:NASA since:2024-01-01 until:2024-02-01` returns everything @NASA posted in January 2024. Add a keyword to find one post inside that window.

## How Do You Search Someone’s Tweets From a Specific Date?

**To search someone’s tweets from one date, set `since:` to that date and `until:` to the next day, because `until:` excludes its own date.** Listed below are the 4 steps.

1.  **Log in** to x.com or the X app; advanced search works only when you’re logged in ([X Help Center](https://help.x.com/en/using-x/x-advanced-search)).
2.  **Type** `from:username since:2024-11-05 until:2024-11-06`.
3.  **Press** Enter.
4.  **Open** **Latest** to list that day’s posts newest first.

`since:` includes its date and `until:` excludes it ([twitter-advanced-search reference](https://github.com/igorbrigadir/twitter-advanced-search)).

## How Do You Search Someone’s Tweets With the Advanced Search Form?

**In the Advanced search form, enter the handle under People, pick the From and To dates under Dates, and click Search.** The form turns your choices into the same `from:`, `since:` and `until:` query (X Help Center).

## How Do You Scroll Someone’s Old Tweets by Date?

**Scrolling a profile is slow for old posts, so step through the account’s history with date windows instead.** Search one year at a time, `from:username since:2016-01-01 until:2017-01-01`, then the next, and narrow to months where the post you want might be. ## Why Don’t Someone’s Tweets Show for a Date?

**Someone’s tweets don’t show for a date when the account posted nothing in that window, protected its posts, was suspended, changed its handle, or deleted the posts.** Protected and suspended accounts are not in the search index (twitter-advanced-search reference).
