# How to Search Tweets by Date on X (Twitter)

To search tweets by date on X, type your keyword followed by since:YYYY-MM-DD and until:YYYY-MM-DD into the search bar, then open the Latest tab.

**To search tweets by date on X, type your keyword followed by `since:YYYY-MM-DD` and `until:YYYY-MM-DD` into the search bar, then open the Latest tab.** For example, `coffee since:2024-03-01 until:2024-04-01` returns posts about coffee from March 2024. `since:` includes its date and `until:` excludes it.

## How Do You Search Tweets by Date in the Search Bar?

**You search tweets by date in the search bar by adding `since:` and `until:` to any query, with the date written as year, month and day.** Listed below are the 4 steps.

1.  **Log in** to x.com or the X app. X shows advanced search results only to logged-in accounts ([X Help Center](https://help.x.com/en/using-x/x-advanced-search)).
2.  **Type** your words, then the date operators: `product launch since:2025-06-01 until:2025-07-01`.
3.  **Press** Enter to run the search.
4.  **Open** the **Latest** tab to see every match in time order, newest first. The **Top** tab shows only posts with engagement.

The date format must be `YYYY-MM-DD` with dashes between the numbers and no space after the colon. `since:2025-6-1` and `since: 2025-06-01` both fail.

## How Do You Search Tweets by Date With the Advanced Search Form?

**You search tweets by date with the form by opening Advanced search and choosing a From date, a To date, or both, in the Dates section.** X’s form lets you search posts sent before a date, after a date, or within a range ([X Help Center](https://help.x.com/en/using-x/x-advanced-search)). Listed below are the 4 steps.

1.  **Run** any search on x.com.
2.  **Click** **Advanced search** under Search filters on the results page, or click **More options** and then **Advanced search**.
3.  **Scroll** to **Dates** and pick the start and end dates from the calendar dropdowns.
4.  **Click** **Search**. X converts your choices into `since:` and `until:` in the search bar.

## How Do You Find Tweets From a Specific Date?

**To find tweets from one specific date, set `since:` to that date and `until:` to the following day.** Because `until:` excludes its own date, the pair covers exactly one day ([twitter-advanced-search reference](https://github.com/igorbrigadir/twitter-advanced-search)).

This returns posts from 5 November 2024 only. For a window shorter than a day, add a time in UTC: `since:2024-11-05_18:00:00_UTC until:2024-11-05_23:59:59_UTC`.

## How Do You Search Tweets Between Two Dates?

**To search tweets between two dates, put the first date after `since:` and the day after the last date after `until:`.** For posts from 10 to 20 January 2026, write:

The range can be as long as you like, but very wide ranges on busy topics can return incomplete results. Split long ranges into months when you need completeness.

## How Do You Search Tweets by Month?

**To search tweets by month, set `since:` to the first day of the month and `until:` to the first day of the next month.** The month of February 2025 is:

This avoids counting how many days a month has, including leap years.

## How Do You Search Tweets by Year?

**To search tweets by year, set `since:` to 1 January of that year and `until:` to 1 January of the next year.** All of 2020 is:

A whole year of a popular keyword is a large result set. Add an account with `from:` or an engagement floor with `min_faves:` to keep it readable.

## How Do You Search Tweets Before a Date?

**To search tweets before a date, use `until:` alone; it returns posts published before that date, not on it.** Posts about a product before its launch on 15 March 2025:

**To search tweets after a date, use `since:` alone; it returns posts published on or after that date.** Posts about a topic since the start of 2026:

**To search someone’s tweets by date, add `from:username` to the date operators.** Everything @NASA posted in the first half of 2024:

## Why Does Twitter Date Search Show No Results?

**Twitter date search shows no results when the date format is wrong, the window ends before it starts, or the posts came from private, suspended or deleted accounts.** Private and suspended accounts are not included in the search index ([twitter-advanced-search reference](https://github.com/igorbrigadir/twitter-advanced-search)). 1.  **Rewrite** the dates as `YYYY-MM-DD`.
2.  **Check** that `since:` is earlier than `until:`.
3.  **Widen** the window by a few days on both sides, then narrow it.
4.  **Switch** between the Top and Latest tabs.
