# How to Find Someone's Comments on TikTok TikTok has no page that lists another person's comments, so to find what someone wrote you have to look at the videos they're likely to have commented on. To check many videos at once, export their comments and filter by username. Only your own comment history is collected in one place, under Settings and privacy, then Activity center. This guide shows the 4 routes that work for anyone else’s comments, from quickest to most thorough. Managing comments in general is covered in the [TikTok comments guide](/blog/tiktok-comments/tiktok-comments-guide/). Once you find a comment, [how to delete comments on TikTok](/blog/tiktok-comments/delete-comments/) covers removing your own, and [why you can’t see comments on TikTok](/blog/tiktok-comments/comments-not-showing/) explains the ones that refuse to load. ## Can You See All of Someone’s Comments on TikTok? **No, TikTok doesn’t show another account’s comment history on their profile or anywhere else; you can only see your own.** Your own list is under Settings and privacy, then Activity center, then Comment history ([TikTok Help Center](https://www.tiktok.com/support/faq_detail?category=web_using_tiktok&id=7636676985892739605)). For anyone else, the comments live under the individual videos where they wrote them. ## 4 Ways to Find Someone’s Comments on TikTok **These 4 methods cover the situations people search for most.** The table shows when each one works. | Method | Works for | Effort | | --- | --- | --- | | Your Inbox and TikTok Studio | Comments on your own videos | Low | | Comment search inside a video | One video, where the search option is available | Low | | Checking likely videos by hand | A few videos you think they commented on | Medium | | Exporting comments and filtering by username | Many videos at once | Low, once set up | ## How Do You Find Someone’s Comments on Your Own Videos? **On your own videos, someone’s comments show up in your Inbox activity and in TikTok Studio’s comment tools, where you can browse comments across all your posts.** Listed below are the 3 places to look. 1. **Inbox**: open **Activity** and filter to comments to see recent comments on your posts, with the commenter’s name. 2. **TikTok Studio**: open the comments section to browse and reply to comments across your videos. 3. **Your video’s comment section**: open the video and look for their name, or use the comment search where it appears. ## How Do You Find Someone’s Comments on Other People’s Videos? **On other people’s videos, work out where they’re likely to comment, then check those videos.** People tend to comment on creators they follow, so open their Following list, if it’s visible, and start with the accounts there. Then open recent videos from those creators and scroll the comments, or use the comment search where your app shows it. Listed below are the 3 best places to start. - **Creators they follow**, from their Following list. - **Videos they’ve reposted or liked**, if their profile shows them. - **Their friends’ videos**, since mutual friends often comment on each other. If their Following list is hidden, you’ll have to guess; hiding lists is covered in [how to hide your followers and following list on TikTok](/blog/tiktok-profiles/hide-followers/). ## Why Can’t You See Someone’s Comments? **A comment can be hidden from you because the person blocked you, the creator filtered it, TikTok folded it as low quality, or it was deleted.** Folded comments are still there, collapsed at the end of the section. All the causes are covered in [why can’t I see comments on TikTok](/blog/tiktok-comments/comments-not-showing/), and blocks in [how to know if someone blocked you on TikTok](/blog/tiktok-profiles/who-blocked-me/). ## Does Someone Know If You Look at Their Comments? **No, TikTok doesn’t notify anyone when you read their comments or browse the videos they commented on.** Opening their profile can show up in their viewer list, but only if you both have profile view history on; see [TikTok profile views](/blog/tiktok-profiles/profile-views/). ## How to Search Many Videos for Someone’s Comments With apidojo **When you need to check dozens of videos, apidojo’s [TikTok Comments Scraper](https://apify.com/apidojo/tiktok-comments-scraper) on Apify exports every comment on each video, with the commenter’s `username`, so finding one person’s comments becomes a filter in a spreadsheet.** Each comment comes with its text, time, likes and reply count (Apify). ``` { "startUrls": [ "https://www.tiktok.com/@creator1/video/7353781970163272993", "https://www.tiktok.com/@creator2/video/7277992603752203013" ], "includeReplies": true } ``` Filter the export’s `user.username` column for the person you’re looking for. It costs $0.30 per 1,000 comments, and each video should have at least 10 comments. The developer workflow is in [how to scrape TikTok comments and replies](/blog/tiktok-scraping/scrape-comments/). ## The scrapers behind this - [TikTok Comments Scraper Comments, likes and replies from video URLs; 100–200 comments/sec $0.30 / 1K comments](/scrapers/tiktok-comments-scraper/) ## Questions people ask ### How do you see your own comments on TikTok?
