# Can You Find Someone on Instagram by Phone Number?

**Save the number, turn on contact syncing in Accounts Center, then check your suggestions.** Listed below are the 5 steps.

1.  **Save** the person’s number in your phone’s contacts, with the country code.
2.  **Open** Instagram, tap your profile picture, then the menu (three lines).
3.  **Tap** **Accounts Center**, then **Your information and permissions**.
4.  **Tap** **Upload contacts** and switch on uploading for your Instagram account.
